Sydney hosted the first-ever staging of X Games in Australia over the weekend, bringing together the top talents in a range of action sports disciplines. Fans filled Spotless Stadium in their thousands to watch the event play out over three days and while weather played some part, it didn't dampen the enthusiasm or level of skill on show.
Corey Creed: Silver Medal - MotoX Best Whip
New UNIT athlete Corey Creed battled the condtions on course to throw down a handful of crowd-pleasing whips on the way to a stunning silver medal. His second event, MotoX Quarter Pipe High Air, was cancelled due to weather.
Colton Walker: Bronze Medal - BMX Dirt
Young American talent Colton Walker medalled on his first trip to Australia with a deserved bronze in the BMX Dirt finals. The bronze backs up a prior gold medal in the same event, cementing him as one of the sport's top stars.
FMX standout and medal favourite Harry Bink was forced to withdraw from the MotoX finals events following a shoulder dislocation. UNIT wishes Bink the best in his recovery and we can't wait to see him back to his best soon.
